Questions to answer

Cats are fine travellers. A lot of people doubt it and we hear, “Moving a cat is difficult,” quite a bit. But we've known a number of travelling cats around the world...for instance, many sailboats have cats on board, the history of cats and ships goes back through the ages. We've moved cats between homes, temporarily housed cats on our sailboat in the Mediterean and now full time RV with our two. There are loads of cats tootling around the country and the world in vans, RV's and boats.
Over the next few weeks we'll answer the questions we get all the time. People react when they see Geordie walking on a lead, and while we are by no means unique with this.....we'll just talk about how we do it. To be clear, this is not a “how to” blog, it's just a “how we do it” blog!
Here's some of the usual suspect list of questions:
  1. How long did it take to train her on a lead? Why didn't you train both cats to walk on a lead?
  2. Where do you keep the litter box?
  3. Do you let them out on their own? Do they try and run away?
  4. Do they get on well? Do they play inside?
  5. Where do they hide inside?
  6. What do they do, where do they go when you are in transit? Do you keep them in cages?
  7. What about vet visits? Innoculations? Emergency medical needs?
  8. Are they microchipped?
  9. Where do they sleep? (are you kidding me? But, yes we get asked this...)
We'll start addressing them individually every so often from the next blog. If you have any additional questions, ask away and we'll try and answer them!

In the meantime, travel safe and have fun!
